First experience with Raven began at the age of 14 when I decided, with German as a first foreign language and just about 10 words English vocabulary, to join the English language class at Vassil Levski High School. Being quite much behind the English language knowledge of the average classmate, Raven was my savior and mentor in my English adventure. With professional personnel and modern teaching methodologies, in just about a year I achieved advanced levels in written and spoken English and highest score in the language school year-end exam.
Having discovered a new dimension, I decided to continue with English and prepare for the entrance exams for the only liberal arts university at that time in Bulgaria, namely American University in Bulgaria (AUBG). In a couple of years Raven guided me through the sophisticated preparation for TOEFL, SAT 1 and SAT 2 (math, English and literature). Scoring in the top 5% in almost all exams allowed admission not only to AUBG but also to a few other universities in the USA.
AUBG was the university where I eventually ventured to go. After the few years English preparation at Raven, having all classes in English was a fascinating and rewarding experience. Being able to communicate with people from diverse nationalities in the same foreign language was also very rewarding. GMAT exam and MBA studies followed shortly with some work experience in the USA in between.
Currently living and working in Switzerland in an English-speaking corporate environment, I appreciate every day the professionalism and dedication of the teachers at Raven and the support I received back then. I am now working as the head of the renewable activities of Alpiq (biggest Swiss utility) in around 15 countries in Central Eastern Europe and communicate with most of the business partners and colleagues in English.
I would recommend Raven to any student who is willing to make a difference with the English language knowledge. It opens doors that remain closed for many others. Enjoy it.
