I joined Raven when I was sixth grade with no prior knowledge of English, a lot of enthusiasm and no idea of how big an impact it would make on my future. Thanks to the patience of my teachers, their great motivation and many weekends and vacations devoted to teaching, I was able to catch up quickly with my peers. With my teachers’ support and a lot of hard work I was able to get pretty high scores on the SAT and TOEFL exams as follows: SAT: 2290, SAT Subjects in Math Level 1&2: 800, 800, SAT Subjects in Chemistry and Literature: 770, 730 respectively, and TOEFL iBT: 116. What Raven gave me is by no means limited to knowledge of English language; the club prepared me for the college academic work, helped me think big and become a well-rounded person. This fall I started my junior year at Saint Peter’s College, The Jesuit College of New Jersey, majoring in Accounting and Economics with a minor in Business Law. I am a Presidential Scholar with a scholarship of $40,000 covering my tuition and room and boarding. I was awarded the Gold Medal for superior academic performance in the School of Business in September. Out of school, I intern at the Finance Department of Goldman Sachs & Co. I realize that the skills I’ve been taught at Raven help me a lot in the diverse and dynamic situations I face.  I wish I was eloquent enough to express my gratitude and appreciation to the institution in which I grew, first as a person, then as a student.
